1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using tuzo.mct.or.tz ("the Site"), operated by the Media Council of Tanzania ("MCT", "we", "us" or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Use of the Website
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its normal operation or attempt to access it in unauthorised ways.
3. Purchases and Payments
Digital issues may be purchased through the Site. Payments are processed by our third-party payment partner, Paddle. All prices are shown in Tanzanian Shillings (TSh) unless stated otherwise. A record of your purchases and any wallet balance is shown in your account. Unless otherwise required by law, digital purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted.
4. Intellectual Property
All content published in Tuzo Magazine — including articles, photographs, layouts and the Tuzo Magazine name and logo — is owned by or licensed to MCT and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission, other than for personal, non-commercial use of issues you have lawfully purchased.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Share your account or purchased content in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights;
- Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful or fraudulent content through any form on the Site;
- Attempt to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems.
6. Advertising
Businesses may enquire about advertising placements through our Business page. Advertising arrangements, including placement, pricing and content approval, are confirmed separately in writing between the advertiser and MCT and are subject to our editorial standards.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, without affecting any purchases already lawfully made.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MCT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. This version is effective from September 1, 2026.
